- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- Pinch of salt
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup walnut pieces (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare for Baking: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 4×8-inch loaf pan.
- Combine Banana Mixture: In a large bowl, stir together the mashed bananas and melted butter.
- Add Wet Ingredients: Mix in the sugar, egg, and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Incorporate Dry Ingredients: Sprinkle baking soda and salt over the mixture, then add the flour. Mix just until combined. Fold in walnuts if using.
- Bake the Bread: Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Cool and Serve: Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
