  • 1 pound egg noodles, cooked and drained
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 pound cooked Swedish meatballs
  • 1 can (10.75 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup shredded Swiss cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped parsley, for garnish

Instructions

 

  1. Preheat and Prepare: Set your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. Cook Onions and Garlic: In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium. Sauté onion and garlic until soft and translucent.
  3. Mix Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine sautéed onion and garlic with meatballs, soup, broth, sour cream, Worcestershire sauce, nutmeg, and black pepper. Fold in the cooked noodles.
  4. Assemble in Dish: Transfer the noodle mixture to the prepared baking dish. Evenly sprinkle the Swiss cheese on top.
  5. Bake: Place in the oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, until heated through and the cheese is melted and golden.
  6. Garnish and Serve: Sprinkle chopped parsley over the top before serving.
