- 1 pound egg noodles, cooked and drained
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 pound cooked Swedish meatballs
- 1 can (10.75 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup shredded Swiss cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped parsley, for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat and Prepare: Set your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Cook Onions and Garlic: In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium. Sauté onion and garlic until soft and translucent.
- Mix Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine sautéed onion and garlic with meatballs, soup, broth, sour cream, Worcestershire sauce, nutmeg, and black pepper. Fold in the cooked noodles.
- Assemble in Dish: Transfer the noodle mixture to the prepared baking dish. Evenly sprinkle the Swiss cheese on top.
- Bake: Place in the oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, until heated through and the cheese is melted and golden.
- Garnish and Serve: Sprinkle chopped parsley over the top before serving.
