For the Marinade:
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
-
Main Ingredients:
- 1 pound steak (such as flank or sirloin) or chicken breast, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- 1 onion, sliced
- 1 cup broccoli florets
- 1 carrot, julienned
- 1/2 cup snow peas
-
For Serving:
- Cooked rice or noodles
- Sesame seeds (optional)
- Sliced green onions (optional)
Instructions
- Marinate the Meat: In a mixing bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, honey, garlic, and ginger. Add the steak or chicken, ensuring it is well-coated. Marinate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours in the refrigerator.
- Cook the Meat: Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat. Add the marinated meat, cooking until browned and done. Remove and set aside.
- Stir-Fry the Vegetables: In the same skillet, add the remaining oil followed by the onion, bell peppers, broccoli, carrot, and snow peas. Stir-fry until they are vibrant and tender-crisp, about 4-5 minutes.
- Combine and Serve: Return the meat to the skillet, adding any reserved marinade. Cook for an additional 2 minutes to blend the flavors. Serve over rice or noodles, garnished with sesame seeds and green onions if using.
