- 8 ounces egg noodles
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 (15 oz) can tomato sauce
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 cup cottage cheese

- 1 cup grated sharp cheddar cheese

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Cook the Noodles: Cook the egg noodles according to the package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Prepare the Meat Sauce: In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, cooking until the onion is translucent. Stir in the tomato sauce, season with salt and pepper, and let simmer for about 5 minutes.

Mix Noodles with Creamy Sauce: In a large mixing bowl, combine the sour cream and cottage cheese. Add the cooked noodles and stir until well coated.

Layer the Casserole: In a greased baking dish, layer half of the noodle mixture. Top with half of the meat sauce. Repeat the layers with the remaining noodles and meat sauce.
