Ingredients
- 1 bone-in turkey breast (about 6 to 7 pounds), thawed if frozen
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 2 teaspoons onion powder
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup low sodium chicken broth
Instructions
-
Preheat and Prepare:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Pat the turkey breast dry with paper towels, ensuring the skin is dry for crispness. -
Season the Turkey:
In a small bowl, mix olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, rosemary, salt, and pepper. Rub this seasoning mix all over the turkey breast, ensuring it’s evenly coated. -
Set Up the Roasting Pan:
Place the turkey breast, breast side up, in a roasting pan. Pour the chicken broth into the bottom of the pan to keep the meat moist as it roasts. -
Roast to Perfection:
Roast the turkey breast in the preheated oven for 1.5 to 2 hours. Use a meat thermometer to check the thickest part of the breast. It should read 165°F (74°C) when done. -
Rest Before Slicing:
Remove the turkey from the oven and let it rest for at least 20 minutes. This ensures the juices redistribute, making every slice tender and flavorful.
