  • Total Time: 50 minutes

Ingredients

Scale

  • 1 pound spaghetti
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 (24 oz) jar marinara sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup cottage cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat and Prepare: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. Cook the Spaghetti: Prepare the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. Make the Meat Sauce: In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Add the onion and garlic, cooking until the onion is translucent. Drain any excess fat. Stir in marinara sauce, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  4. Prepare the Cheese Mixture: In a bowl, combine cream cheese, sour cream, and cottage cheese. Mix until smooth and creamy.
  5. Layer the Ingredients: Spread half of the cooked spaghetti in the bottom of the prepared dish. Layer the cheese mixture evenly over the spaghetti. Top with half of the meat sauce. Repeat the layers with the remaining spaghetti, cheese mixture, and meat sauce.
  6. Top with Cheese: Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheese evenly over the top.
  7. Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until the dish is bubbly and the cheese is melted and golden.
  8. Rest and Serve: Let the casserole sit for 5-10 minutes before serving. Slice into portions and enjoy!
