Roll up all your favorite ingredients into pizza dough, bake it until golden brown, and enjoy the perfect combination of crispy dough and cheesy, flavorful fillings. Let’s get rolling!

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb pizza dough
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup pepperoni slices
  • 1/2 cup cooked Italian sausage, crumbled
  • 1/2 cup bell peppers, sliced
  • 1/2 cup onions, sliced
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • Grated Parmesan cheese for topping

Directions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it to prevent sticking.
  2. Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface to form a rectangle, roughly 10×14 inches. The dough should be thin but not too thin that it tears when rolled.
  3. Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a 1-inch border around the edges to help seal the stromboli later.
  4. Layer the mozzarella cheese, pepperoni slices, crumbled Italian sausage, sliced bell peppers, and sliced onions over the pizza sauce. Be careful not to overfill to make rolling easier.
  5. Starting from the long edge, tightly roll up the dough, similar to a jelly roll, tucking in the ingredients as you go. Pinch the edges and seams to seal the roll completely.
  6. Place the stromboli seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the top with the beaten egg to give it a golden, glossy finish as it bakes.
  7. Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over the top of the stromboli for added flavor and texture.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the stromboli is golden brown and crispy on the outside.
  9. Let the stromboli cool slightly before slicing it into pieces. Serve warm, either on its own or with extra pizza sauce for dipping.
