Ingredients
Scale
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 2 ounces unsweetened chocolate
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1 unbaked 9-inch pie crust
Instructions
- Preheat and Prepare: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Fit the pie crust into a 9-inch pie dish.
- Melt Chocolate and Butter: In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the butter and chocolate together, stirring until smooth. Remove from the heat and let it cool slightly.
- Combine Ingredients: Stir in the sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until well blended. Mix in the flour and salt, ensuring no lumps remain. Stir in the pecans.
- Fill Pie Crust: Pour the chocolate mixture into the unbaked pie crust, smoothing the top with a spatula.
- Bake: Place the pie in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the filling is set and the crust is golden.
- Cool and Serve: Allow the pie to cool slightly before serving. This lets the filling set up a bit, making it easier to slice.
