- 1 package (16 oz) frozen meatballs
- 1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce
- 1 cup water
- 2 cups uncooked penne pasta
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Instructions
- Preheat and Prepare: Set your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Combine Ingredients: In the baking dish, mix the frozen meatballs, marinara sauce, water, and penne pasta until everything is evenly distributed.
- Bake Covered: Cover the dish tightly with aluminum foil and bake for 40 minutes.
- Add Cheese and Season: Remove the foil, stir the casserole, and sprinkle evenly with mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, and Italian seasoning.
- Bake Uncovered: Return the dish to the oven, uncovered, and continue baking for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the pasta is tender and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Cool and Serve: Let the casserole cool for a few minutes before serving to allow it to set slightly.
