Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 (10 oz) package frozen spinach, thawed and well-drained
- 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
- 1 (24 oz) jar marinara sauce
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 cup cottage cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 12 no-boil lasagna noodles
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions
- Prepare the Oven and Dish: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Cook Meat Mixture: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef, onion, and garlic until the beef is browned and the onions are translucent. Drain any excess fat.
- Add Spinach and Cream Cheese: Stir in the spinach and cream cheese until the cream cheese is melted and the mixture is well combined. Set aside.
- Mix Sauces and Cheeses: In a separate bowl, mix together the marinara sauce, sour cream, cottage cheese, and Parmesan cheese.
- Assemble the Casserole: Spread a thin layer of the sauce mixture on the bottom of the prepared dish. Lay out a layer of lasagna noodles. Spread half of the meat mixture over the noodles, then cover with more sauce. Repeat the layers, ending with a final layer of noodles topped with the remaining sauce.
- Add Cheese and Bake: Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese on top. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
- Rest and Serve: Let the casserole stand for 10 minutes before slicing. Serve warm.
