CHOCOLATE PEANUT BUTTER BALLS

Bring these delightful, bite-sized treats to life with minimal effort and maximum flavor.

  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: About 40 balls 1x

Ingredients

Scale

  • 1 1/2 cups peanut butter
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons shortening

Instructions

  1. Mix Peanut Butter Mixture: In a large bowl, mix together the peanut butter, butter, vanilla extract, and powdered sugar until the mixture is smooth and firm.
  2. Shape and Chill: Roll the mixture into 1-inch balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with wax paper. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour to set.
  3. Melt Chocolate: In a double boiler or microwave, melt the chocolate chips and shortening together, stirring until smooth.
  4. Dip in Chocolate: Using a toothpick or fork, dip each peanut butter ball into the melted chocolate, ensuring it is fully coated. Return each ball to the wax paper.
  5. Chill Again: Refrigerate the coated peanut butter balls for about 30 minutes, or until the chocolate is completely set.
  6. Serve and Store: Enjoy immediately or store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
