Ingredients
Scale
- 4 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 4 slices of cooked ham
- 4 slices of Swiss cheese
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons butter
Instructions
- Prep the Chicken: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Flatten the chicken breasts to about 1/4 inch thickness using a meat mallet.
- Season and Stuff: Season each breast with salt, pepper, garlic, and onion powder. Place a slice of ham and cheese on each, leaving a margin at the edges. Roll tightly and secure with toothpicks.
- Breading Station: Set up three dishes for flour, eggs, and breadcrumbs. Dredge each chicken roll in flour, dip in egg, then coat in breadcrumbs.
- Brown the Chicken: Heat oil and butter in a skillet. Brown the chicken on all sides, then transfer the skillet to the oven.
- Bake to Perfection: Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through and cheese is melted.
- Rest and Serve: Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before slicing. Serve hot and enjoy the melty, cheesy goodness!
