  • Total Time: 45 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 4 slices of cooked ham
  • 4 slices of Swiss cheese
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter

Instructions

  1. Prep the Chicken: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Flatten the chicken breasts to about 1/4 inch thickness using a meat mallet.
  2. Season and Stuff: Season each breast with salt, pepper, garlic, and onion powder. Place a slice of ham and cheese on each, leaving a margin at the edges. Roll tightly and secure with toothpicks.
  3. Breading Station: Set up three dishes for flour, eggs, and breadcrumbs. Dredge each chicken roll in flour, dip in egg, then coat in breadcrumbs.
  4. Brown the Chicken: Heat oil and butter in a skillet. Brown the chicken on all sides, then transfer the skillet to the oven.
  5. Bake to Perfection: Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through and cheese is melted.
  6. Rest and Serve: Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before slicing. Serve hot and enjoy the melty, cheesy goodness!
