INGREDIENTS:
1 lb. ground beef
4 slices of bacon, cut up
1 onion, chopped
10 oz. diced tomatoes with green chili’s
8 oz. tomato sauce
1 tsp. mustard powder
1/2 tsp. chili powder
1/2 tsp. each salt and pepper
4 oz. elbow macaroni
1/2 C. shredded cheddar cheese
DIRECTIONS:
Bring a pot of salted water to a boil and cook the macaroni until tender, drain and set aside. In a large skillet, sauté the bacon over medium high heat till it begins to look crisp, add in the ground beef and cook till the ground beef is done, drain the grease. Add in the onion and cook for 2-3 minutes until the onion is tender. Add in the diced tomatoes, tomato sauce and spices. Stir to combine well. Gradually add in the cooked macaroni and stir to combine. Stir in the shredded cheese till it melts and is also well combined. Serve with warm bread.
