- 2 pounds ground beef (preferably 80/20 mix for juiciness)
- 8 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1/4 cup BBQ sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 4 hamburger buns, toasted
- Lettuce, tomato slices, and additional BBQ sauce for serving
Instructions
- Prepare the Meat Mixture: In a large bowl, combine the ground beef with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix just until combined.
- Form the Patties: Divide the meat into 8 equal portions and flatten each into a thin patty.
- Add Filling: In a small bowl, mix the crumbled bacon and shredded cheese. Place a portion of this mixture on four of the patties.
- Enclose the Filling: Top the filled patties with the remaining four patties, sealing the edges carefully to enclose the filling.
- Grill: Preheat the grill to medium-high. Grill the burgers for about 5 minutes on each side or until cooked to your liking. Brush with BBQ sauce in the last minute of grilling.
- Serve: Place each burger on a toasted bun and serve with lettuce, tomato slices, and a dollop of BBQ sauce.
